Invest in Austrian T-bills
Austria Federal Treasury notes (T-bills) can be purchased daily on the stock exchange through almost any credit institution and held in a securities account, where they can also be sold again if required. In principle, there is neither a minimum investment amount nor a maximum investment amount.
Austrian T-bills which are also referred to as bunds, are sovereign debt instruments issued by Austria federal government to finance outgoing expenditures. Bunds in Austria are widely viewed as the Austria equivalent of U.S. Treasury Bills (T-bills).
Austria T-Bills are considered a safe investment due to Austrian AAA credit rating and its ability to reliably meet interest and principal payments.
The Austria 3 Months Government T-Bills has a 3.664% yield (last update Dec 2023), but the exact return will depend on the maturity of the T-bills.
When the T-bill matures, you are paid its face value. You can hold a bill until it matures or sell it before it matures. If you buy the Austria T-bills at 99.20, you will pay €99,200 but receive €100,000. The difference is the return that you make on the investment.
In order to buy the Austrian T-Bills , you do so directly by opening a brokerage account with a regulated investment firm, or you can purchase corporate Bills that invest fully in Austria T-bills. Both options are available at Eurivex Ltd, an EU investment firm regulated by CySEC, operating in line with MiFID rules.
